Nigel Campbell is a well-known music industry analyst, commentator and reviewer from T&T who has documented Caribbean music culture and the business of music in print, television and on the popular podcast Music Matters: The Caribbean Edition with entertainment journalist Laura Dowrich-Phillips, available on all platforms. As a music businessman focused on expanding the appeal of Island Music globally via new media, live performance and distribution, he is a director of Production One Ltd, a company that produces Jazz Artists on the Greens™, the largest Caribbean Jazz event in Trinidad, and other live music events. He publishes the magazine Jazz in the Islands, which is dedicated to compiling and reviewing Caribbean jazz recordings, musicians and festivals throughout the islands. He has worked with and been advisor to other local and regional festivals towards developing the live music sector as a tourism product. His research interests are the music business in small economies and the development of markets for Caribbean music internationally.
