Born and raised in Trinidad, Takiyah showed a strong interest in music at a young age. From this passion for music she would have obtained her ABRSM Grade 1-5 Theory certificates, ABRSM Grade 1-4 Practical in Piano and ABRSM Grade 2 Practical in Vocals. Whilst as a student Takiyah performed in Calypso competitions, Concerts and Weddings to gain experience. She continues to self record and release originals and cover songs on her YouTube channel with hopes of releasing an album in the near future. Her love for music and the Caribbean culture is unmatched resulting in her desire to share our Trini culture with a larger audience.
